Sometimes you can’t find all the information you are looking for on our website, and so we put together our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section to make it easier for you. If you still have questions afterwards, do not hesitate to drop us an email here.
Do you charge for quotes?
Absolutely not. Any assessment and quotation work we do is entirely free of charge. We want to make sure we have the skills and the ability to do the job you are looking for before we embark on any work, and we want you to be satisfied you’ve chosen the right company for what you need.
What happens if you find an issue whilst working?
Sometimes unforeseen consequences and hurdles can arise during work. Whenever this happens, if we are unable to repair or workaround it efficiently, we will inform you of the situation and discuss the next steps. Sometimes this can lead to an additional cost, but we will try and avoid this where possible.
Do you supply materials?
We are happy to either use your supplies or supply our own, it is entirely up to you. We charge the cost of the materials plus 15% to cover time and travel costs, alongside a minor £15 delivery charge. For larger jobs, we do recommend that you allow us to supply the materials to ensure their quality and suitability. As a bonus, our suppliers give us a labourer discount, which is reflected in the quote.
Will I have to wait around all day for you to come?
Absolutely not. We pride ourselves on being a reliable service, and will arrange a mutually convenient time to come by, and will be there on time.
DO YOU SUPPLY ALL THE TOOLS NEEDED FOR THE JOB?
We try where we can to use any materials or tools that we already have. We do conduct an initial assessment to see if we are likely to require any additional tools in the future, and work out a quote accordingly. If we feel a tool may need to be purchased, this will be discussed with you.
ARE YOU GOING TO LEAVE A MESS WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED?
We pride ourselves on leaving your building and residence as we found it, apart from the work we’ve done of course. We will tidy as we go, and make sure we are not overly obstructive when working. Once all the work is done, we’ll clean up and leave you ready to go.
ARE YOU CORGI REGISTERED?
Unfortunately we are not, and so we cannot deal with any gas repairs or gas boilers. If you have electrical boilers, we can look at these. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, we are fully insured, with a public liability insurance of up to £2 million.
HOW AND WHEN DO I PAY?
We will provide you with an invoice, and we ask you to pay when you are completely satisfied with our work. As we are a small business, we do appreciate prompt payment.
